I Want to Know God – Part One

Congratulations! You’re on your way, you are here because you want to do more than merely know of and about God you desire to “know God”. This is where your Journey begins.

Your craving goes well beyond that of a friendly impersonal handshake introduction as though you have just been introduced to the President by way of the help. No, you long to have a relationship with God. This is a great beginning since he created you and obviously already knows you, but the good news is he also desires to have a relationship with you and so much more. God wants to welcome you to His family, He wants you as His child and Him your Father. He wants for you, things that you, in your wildest dreams could not even begin to imagine.

Most of us learn about God through family, friends, or by some sort of short lived watered down religious experience. These type of impersonal introductions often leave the person feeling there is something more to do, that something is missing, something is just not complete. One reason for this form of confusion is because most of these introductions are shallow at best solely based on some form of knowledge and not a relationship. However really meeting God is an altogether different experience. The best way to meet a person is to be introduced to them by someone who already knows them. I have a dear friend who I know will be ecstatic to make such an introduction, allow me to share a little about my friend before I introduce you.

He has known God from the very beginning (John 1:1-2)

He is the only one able to introduce you to God (John 14:6)

My friend’s name is Jesus He is the only one who can adequately prepare, guide, and absolutely guarantee you will meet God. Now before I introduce you to Him, I would like to share a few things with you to make your getting acquainted with, and coming to know Him as smooth as humanly possible, you will want to be aware of and realize the following….
