Live a Purposeful Life

Are you living your life the way you want to? Do you love the life you are living? If you live your life in an intentional, purposeful way, you control how you want to live and feel every moment of your life.

If you don’t have a well-defined purpose, you’re likely to follow anyone in any direction. A purposeful life requires the following:

The desire to serve others
A positive vision for your life focused on living your life purpose;
The desire to serve others
Core beliefs and a values system, which guide your decisions and behaviors;
The desire to serve others
A personal code of ethics, where values are transformed into deliberate actions;
The desire to serve others
Integrity, where deliberate actions are consistently aligned to your values system;
The desire to serve others
The ability to be mindful of your surroundings, living fully present, in each moment, expressing gratitude for all that you are, have, and do, deeply engaged in the beauty and joy of living.
The desire to serve others

If you’re not clear about where you intend to go, you’re not going to like where you end up. So why not just ask. God says He has plans, a purpose for every one of us – Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

When you’re purposeful, distractions are an annoyance, yet your purpose will pull you back on track. When you have no purpose, even the smallest distraction can lead you off into a vast expanse of wasted living. It is not easy to live a purposeful life. But what’s far worse is a meaningless life. Do not allow your focus to become blurred by things that do not matter to you.

Proverbs 4:25-27 “Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you.
Give careful thought to the[a] paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways.
Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.”

Live every day with a purpose.

God’s Peace!
